Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party she has previously worked in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant director of communications (2009–2011) and the spokesperson for the US Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was an election contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki started her professional career with an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and then became the governor of Iowa. Psaki was later appointed deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was in office from 2005 until 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for the field of political communications, serving as press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 election campaign. [20] On February 11 2013 Psaki became spokesperson for the United States Department of State. [20] Her hiring in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would succeed White House Press Secretary Jay Carney after he left the White House, on May 30th the 30th of May, 2014 it was announced Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was appointed communications director at the White House and continued to perform this role until the end of 2015.
